I’m in the process of moving my blog from Typepad to WordPress.com.
Hopefully things will go fairly smoothly but you may see some kinks and other weirdness as I switch over.
I’d say send me an e-mail if you notice anything odd but I just realized I have not set that up yet.. well, I guess leave a comment if you see anything abnormally more weirder than it normally is on my blawg. It’s a work in progress!
Thanks!

NBA Finals. Celtics / Lakers Game 6. 4th Quarter. We are 12 minutes away and the Celtics are currently holding a 29 point lead.
The T.V. is turned down and I’m listening to Cedric Maxwell on the ray-de-i-o. (Missing Johnny Most, for sure)
WE ARE SO CLOSE!! The C’s need to keep the foot on the gas. NO LET UP’S!!
Tick-tock, tick-tock.. the clock keeps moving closer and closer to a 17th Banner.
LETS GO CELTICS!! BEAT L.A.!!!

Since I bought my Social Distortion tix for the Hampton N.H. show a few days ago, I’ve really been on a kick with their music. I mean, I listen to Social D a lot as it is, seeing as how they are my favorite band and all, but lately, I am basically submersing myself in their tunes.
Sure, I throw in a little Supersuckers, Johnny Cash, Slayer or George Strait in there too, but lately it’s been mostly Social D all day every day around here.
After hearing their new song, ‘Far Behind’ recently, I have been unable to get away from it. I simply CANNOT get it out of my head. It is stuck there with glue of some kind and I find myself listening to it over and over and over again. Sometimes I just stick iTunes on repeat and listen to it two or three times in a row.
I hope when this new Greatest Hits record comes out I can download ‘Far Behind’ off of iTunes and it’s not one of those deals where you have to buy the whole album to get one song. I hate that.

Ok, I had written something for the 2nd quarter, but I got all excited and hit the refresh button and lost it. Oh well.
It does not matter at this point because now it’s the start of the 4th Quarter. The Pats defense has done well, very well actually, limiting the potent Cincy offense, for the most part. They gave up 2 field goals in the 1st and since then have only allowed Cincy a single touchdown.. Even better, the Pats D has taken the ball away from Cincy and forced some turnovers, and the Offense has converted those turnovers into points.
Offensively, the running game has been very effective and Brady has been clicking with his receivers, especially Gabriel in particular. Reche Caldwell took a vicious lick at one point in the game. It was scary to watch and I was afraid he might have been seriously injured, but, he got up and is back in the game.
Also of note, Troy Brown is back to playing on defense. He should get some kind of award.
I’ve got my Tom Brady jersey on and the Lucky Patriots Mug is in full effect. That’s a good lead in to tell you to check out my story over on Faster Than The World. It’s all about insane rituals and superstitions.
Its’ 24-13 Pats at the start of the 4th. I’ve even gotten my Wife to take one of my touchdown runs for me because I was holding the baby at the time and could not go. (I run around my house when the Pats score a TD. Why? Because I am a maniac.)
Lets hang on for 15 min of football Patriots!
GO PATS

Hey all! Evan over at Firebrand of the American League e-mailed me and asked me to help him let people know he’s hosting a Q&A session with Will Carroll on his site this Thursday.
Will is an expert on baseball injury and writes for Baseball Prospectus and Baseball Toaster. If you’ve got any questions for Will, head on over and get them in!
Also, I wanted to give some plugs to the new Sox site over at Most Valuable Network, Wallball Single, written by Dan Kobayashi from Keys to the Game and Brian Young from Tao of Manny.
There ya go. As they say here at the ever-so-exciting and completely-fulfilling-on-a-daily-basis Software Factory, you’ve got your ‘Marching Orders’. There’s plenty of links for you to go follow. That should keep at least 5 of you busy for a good couple of hours. Have fun!
