See ya Willie...
I always knew it could happen, but I always thought it wouldn't. Willie McGinest is a now a Cleveland Brown. I had this crazy idea in my head that The Pats were going to try and make him an offer that would keep him in a Patriot uniform this year.
It's going to be weird seeing #55 coming after QB's in that ugly brown uni with the orange helmet... Dammit.
Oh, and since we're talking about guys heading out of Foxboro, I never gave props to Christian Fauria, now with the Redskins. He was a good tight end. All the guy ever did was catch touchdowns. Good luck down in Dan Snyder's kingdom dude.
Andre Davis is now a Buffalo Bill. Davis was a mainly a disappointment last season but he came on strong towards the end of the year. Eh. See ya Andre. Hopefully his performance does not suddenly take off now that he's playing for a division rival...
Last but not least, Matt Chatham is now a Jet. He was a decent backup LB for the Pats and a solid contributor to the team. See ya Matt.
The Pats are going to sign somebody, besides Artrell Hawkins and Hank Poteat, eventually...
In the meantime just keep repeating after me, In Belichick We Trust... [and sign Adam fer chrissakes, will ya??]
Damn - we are losing so many good players and ther is nothing out there to get. Keyshawn may be a good pick up, Bill is good at changing attitudes, but that will still not be enough. Maybe the Pats will look to utilize their Tight Ends and move in that direction this year to come across the middle to clear things out for the RBs to receive more? Otherwise they can convert Doug Flutie to WR and he can also be the 3rd QB......
Defensively the Pats have also not done enough. I look to them to sign Adam and try to move up in the draft w their extra picks ot get seom young blood in to help out.
Now more then ever we need linebackers, and a secondary, but the odds are still in protecting Brady and getting an offensive lineman from the draft.
I trust Bill and Scott, but there is really not enough talent left to spend a lot of money on......

This article talks about Belichick's relationship with Keyshawn. Apparently they get along quite well. We'll see...
I can't help but wonder what's going on in Foxboro. The Pats have tons of money available with the new cap. Yes, they are a frugal team that is not going to overspend on any player, but the market is starting to dry up... and the Pats are thin at receiver, def secondary, linebacker... Gack!! Has anybody signed Sam Madison yet? He would be a nice pickup for the defense...

I hear ya Reb, I hear ya! I'm starting to get all twitchy waiting for some arrivals in Foxboro.

although we need to improve the secondary - I cannot really say I am sad to see Poole go. You know there still could be the chacen to pick up Milloy or Jones. Both know the Patriot system and will not cost as much as Ty Law. Although I think we can all agree Jones should not be moved to corner......

Yeah I saw they let Poole go in a salary cap move. Saving more money to sign somebody eventually sooner or later I guess. Har.
Seriously though, I guess it would be ok to see Milloy come back but they really need somebody at cornerback at this point. Tebucky Jones. Yes, you are right, he should not be moved to corner... phht. ya goof!
