The rain needs to stop now...
Normally I don't mind the rain this time of year. It makes my lawn happy, so as long as it does not last for too many days in a row, it's ok, but this week the rainy weather needs to take a break, because Iain from the The Baseball Desert is flying all the way from France to Boston to catch a Red Sox game tonight.
As I sit at my desk writing this, it is pouring rain outside my window. For Iain's sake, let's hope Mother Nature gets it all out of her system early, and hopefully there will be a baseball game tonight at Fenway Park.
I'm back and finally catching up with everyone.
Your good-weather mojo apparently worked, because despite it drizzling all evening they actually got the game played. I think I benefitted from the Yankees game being rained out the previous evening - I doubt the Sox wanted two consecutive rainouts, so they did what was needed to play the game.
Despite the rain, it was a great night at Fenway (the first of four great nights). I'm going to post some notes from the trip on the blog in the next couple of days, now that I've had some time to digest everything (and get over the jet-lag!).

Hi Iain! I'm glad to hear you had a nice trip and did not miss out on any of the games. It seemed like the weather cleared up pretty well for you after that one rainy night, so that's good. :)
I would have like to have met up with you guys and bought you a beer but I was pre-occupied with domestic duties ;)
