Now, for the grand prize... define the word, 'Schadenfreude'

'OH FUCK! Serious?? Damn.'

That would have been my reaction a few days ago if I were an imaginary game show contestant with the grand prize on the line.

After the MFY were eliminated from the post-season last weekend, I read post after post at various Red Sox sites using this word. It kind of got on my nerves that I had no idea what the word actually meant.

'Schadenfreude... Schadenfreude. What the hell is Schadenfreude? And why is it always capitalized?'

So I looked it up. Schadenfreude: Pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others.

See, reading Red Sox sites makes you smarter.
